ECD全球联盟的宗旨

ECD全球联盟致力于开展与埃尔德海姆-切斯特病相关的宣传、支持、教育和研究工作。为实现这一使命，本组织将与全球各界携手，共同实现以下目标：

提高人们对早期儿童发展的认识。.  The purpose of this activity is to facilitate early diagnosis of the disease and to stimulate concern and efforts to increase knowledge regarding the disease and treatments.

为受该疾病影响的人提供支持。.  开展此项活动的目的是尽可能减轻受ECD影响人群的负担。该支持将包括（但不限于）提供信息、转介服务，以及与其他受该疾病影响的人士进行一对一交流。.

倡导并支持研究项目。.  The purpose of such research programs is to learn more about (a) the disease, (b) effective treatments for the disease, (c) possible cures, and/or (d) avenues to prevent the disease altogether.  This will include, but not necessarily be limited to, collaborating with medical personnel, research personnel and other health organizations to help define areas where research is needed, to fund research, and to help promote the benefits of ECD research to other health agencies.  The alliance will also serve as a conduit to transfer needed information from its members to the research community per documented guidelines.
