Uma comunidade única se reunirá para interagir e aprender.

Finally, the Erdheim-Chester Disease (ECD) community of patients, loved ones, and physicians will gather together again!  During the challenges of the pandemic, serving our members remained the top priority.  Through regularly scheduled chat sessions, education webinars, and a commitment to support, ECDGA has been able to keep our members connected during the test of the pandemic.

O Os eventos internacionais anuais sobre a doença de Erdheim-Chester serão realizados em Rochester, MN, de 6 a 8 de abril de 2022. Durante essa conferência de três dias, haverá reuniões voltadas especificamente para cada membro da comunidade.

Os Drs. Go e Goyal no Simpósio de Nova York de 2017

A ECDGA tem a honra de contar com a colaboração dos co-anfitriões deste ano no planejamento e na execução do evento. Dr. Ronald Go is a hematology-oncologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester near the meeting location. Dr. Go is the leading physician for the ECD Care Center at his clinic. He has a passion for creating a better experience for all patients.  Dr. Go has also shown great care to the community by empowering upcoming physicians with inspiring and effective mentoring in the field of histiocytosis. Also hosting is Dr. Gaurav Goyal, professor assistente na Universidade do Alabama em Birmingham. O Dr. Goyal tem sido um membro dedicado à comunidade de ECD, tanto profissionalmente quanto como voluntário da ECDGA. Suas contribuições tiveram um impacto positivo na pesquisa e no padrão de atendimento a pacientes com histiocitose, além de proporcionar um atendimento excepcional aos pacientes. Após sua orientação com o Dr. Go, o Dr. Goyal agora lidera um Centro de Atendimento à ECD em Birmingham. Tanto o Dr. Go quanto o Dr. Goyal têm sido fundamentais para o crescimento e o sucesso da ECDGA.

O 9th ECD Simpósio Médico está programado para 6 de abril, oferecendo aos profissionais da área médica a oportunidade de se reunir e colaborar com base nas mais recentes descobertas da pesquisa sobre a ECD, bem como compartilhar seus conhecimentos relacionados ao tratamento e aos cuidados com pacientes com ECD. Todos os profissionais da área médica interessados na ECD e na histiocitose em adultos, especialmente aqueles que estão começando a tratar pacientes com ECD, são fortemente incentivados a participar.

O 8th ECD Encontro de Pacientes e Familiares on April 8 is an event offered to all ECD patients, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about care and support for ECD patients. The patient meeting sets out to unite patients and family members, as well as increase their knowledge and understanding of ECD. During the meeting, physicians knowledgeable in ECD care offer their specialized expertise and provide answers to the families’ questions. Many patients have reported successful adjustments in their care following these meetings.  All ECD patients and their loved ones, especially those with a new diagnosis or who have never attended an ECD event, are strongly encouraged to consider this opportunity.

There is also time available for the professionals and patients to mingle during a social reception held on April 7.  This is a more informal setting for introductions, meeting new members, and enjoying fellowship with those that understand the struggles of living with ECD.
