Symposium Zusammenfassung
Am jährlichen ECD Medical Symposium 2015 nahmen etwa 52 medizinische Fachkräfte aus acht Ländern teil. Zwölf mündliche Abstracts wurden präsentiert. Als eingeladene Referenten hielten Omar Abdel-Wahab, MD, PhD, einen Vortrag mit dem Titel „Vielfältige und therapeutisch adressierbare Kinase-Veränderungen treiben histiozytäre Neoplasien“ und Timothy Craig Allen, MD, JD, präsentierte „Soziale Medien in der Welt der seltenen Erkrankungen“. Ein Abendempfang bot Zeit für Diskussionen zur Unterstützung aktueller und zukünftiger Kooperationen innerhalb dieser äußerst sachkundigen Gruppe von Ärztinnen und Ärzten sowie Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern, die alle daran interessiert waren, mehr über Erdheim-Chester Disease zu erfahren.
