Sammendrag av symposiet
Omtrent 52 medisinske fagfolk fra åtte land deltok på det årlige ECD medisinske symposium i 2015. Tolv muntlige sammendrag ble presentert. Som inviterte foredragsholdere holdt Omar Abdel-Wahab, MD, PhD, et foredrag med tittelen «Diverse and Targetable Kinase Alterations Drive Histiocytic Neoplasms», og Timothy Craig Allen, MD, JD, presenterte «Social Media in the Rare Disease World». En kveldsresepsjon ga tid til diskusjoner som støttet nåværende og fremtidige samarbeid blant denne svært kunnskapsrike gruppen av leger og forskere, alle interessert i å lære mer om Erdheim-Chester sykdom.
