3rd Annual ECD Medical Symposium Houston, TX

Approximately 52 medical professionals from eight countries attended the Annual ECD Medical Symposium in 2015. Twelve oral abstracts were presented. As an invited speakers, Omar Abdel-Wahab, MD, PhD, delivered a talk titled “Diverse and Targetable Kinase Alterations Drive Histiocytic Neoplasms” and Timothy Craig Allen, MD, JD presented “Social Media in the Rare Disease World.” An evening reception provided time for discussions supporting current and future collaborations among this highly knowledgeable group of physicians and scientists, all interested in learning more about Erdheim-Chester Disease.
