ECDGA er glad for å kunne meddele at National Comprehensive Cancer Network® (NCCN®) – en allianse av ledende kreftsentre – har publisert nye NCCN Guidelines® for Histiocytosis. Disse retningslinjene for klinisk praksis gir den nyeste kunnskapen og ekspertkonsensus for diagnostisering og behandling av de tre vanligste formene for histiocytose hos voksne: Langerhans cellehistiocytose (LCH), Erdheim-Chester Disease (ECD,) og Rosai-Dorfman Disease (RDD). NCCN-retningslinjene kan hjelpe pasienter, pårørende og leger med å få tilgang til den nyeste informasjonen om symptomer, diagnose, behandling og mer. Retningslinjene kan også være et nyttig verktøy når det søkes om godkjenning for dekning av legemidler og behandlingsformer. ECD medical experts in our community have helped compile two types of brochures for general education and awareness purposes.
