Symposium Summary

Approximately 42 medical professionals from 10 countries attended the 2024 Annual ECD Medical Symposium. 18 oral abstracts were presented, along with an additional 5 poster presentations. As invited speakers, Gordon Starkebaum, MD, delivered a talk titled “History of Erdheim-Chester Disease,” and Veen Shankaran, MD, presented a talk on “Addressing Financial Barriers to Oncologic Care.” An evening reception provided time for discussions supporting current and future collaborations among this highly knowledgeable group of physicians and scientists, all interested in learning more about Erdheim-Chester Disease.
