The Erdheim-Chester Disease Global Alliance (ECDGA) is pleased to announce the 2025 Call for Letters of Intent (LOIs) for research projects focused on Erdheim-Chester Disease (ECD) and related adult histiocytic disorders.

This annual funding opportunity aims to support innovative research that advances scientific understanding and improves patient outcomes. Early Career Investigators are strongly encouraged to apply.

 

Grant Details

  • Funding Amount: Up to $60,000 USD
  • Duration: 2 years
  • LOI Deadline: September 23, 2025 (Midnight CT)
  • Eligibility: Early Career Investigators – open to international applicants

Early Career Investigators are individuals who:

  • Are within ten (10) years of completing a terminal research degree or postdoctoral training, or of completing medical residency/fellowship (or equivalent)
  • Have not previously received an ECDGA Early Career Investigator Grant

Focus Areas

Projects should clearly outline how the proposed research will benefit ECD patients. Strong consideration will be given to proposals that:

  • Involve cross-institutional collaboration
  • Aim to translate findings to clinical settings
  • Utilize the ECD Patient Registry at Memorial Sloan Kettering
