Finally, the Erdheim-Chester Disease (ECD) community of patients, loved ones, and physicians will gather together again!\u00a0 During the challenges of the pandemic, serving our members remained the top priority.\u00a0 Through regularly scheduled chat sessions, education webinars, and a commitment to support, ECDGA has been able to keep our members connected during the test of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

O<\/strong> Os eventos internacionais anuais sobre a doen\u00e7a de Erdheim-Chester ser\u00e3o realizados em Rochester, MN, de 6 a 8 de abril de 2022<\/strong>. Os Drs. Go e Goyal no Simp\u00f3sio de Nova York de 2017<\/p><\/div>\n

A ECDGA tem a honra de contar com a colabora\u00e7\u00e3o dos co-anfitri\u00f5es deste ano no planejamento e na execu\u00e7\u00e3o do evento. Dr. Ronald Go<\/strong><\/a> is a hematology-oncologist at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester near the meeting location. Dr. Go is the leading physician for the ECD Care Center at his clinic. He has a passion for creating a better experience for all patients. \u00a0Dr. Go has also shown great care to the community by empowering upcoming physicians with inspiring and effective mentoring in the field of histiocytosis. Also hosting is Dr. Gaurav Goyal<\/strong><\/a>,<\/strong> professor assistente na Universidade do Alabama em Birmingham. O Dr. Goyal tem sido um membro dedicado \u00e0 comunidade de ECD, tanto profissionalmente quanto como volunt\u00e1rio da ECDGA. Todos os profissionais da \u00e1rea m\u00e9dica interessados na ECD e na histiocitose em adultos, especialmente aqueles que est\u00e3o come\u00e7ando a tratar pacientes com ECD, s\u00e3o fortemente incentivados a participar.<\/p>\n

O 8th<\/sup><\/strong> ECD<\/strong> Encontro de Pacientes e Familiares<\/strong> on April 8 is an event offered to all ECD patients, caregivers, and anyone interested in learning more about care and support for ECD patients. The patient meeting sets out to unite patients and family members, as well as increase their knowledge and understanding of ECD. During the meeting, physicians knowledgeable in ECD care offer their specialized expertise and provide answers to the families\u2019 questions. Many patients have reported successful adjustments in their care following these meetings.\u00a0 All ECD patients and their loved ones, especially those with a new diagnosis or who have never attended an ECD event, are strongly encouraged to consider this opportunity.<\/p>\n

There is also time available for the professionals and patients to mingle during a social reception held on April 7.\u00a0 This is a more informal setting for introductions, meeting new members, and enjoying fellowship with those that understand the struggles of living with ECD.<\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong>*Declara\u00e7\u00e3o sobre a COVID:<\/strong> We are monitoring the sanitation ordinances for this location in hopes that the virus will be behind us in time to hold the meeting as planned.\u00a0 We will continue to monitor the situation and post updates if\u00a0anything changes.\u00a0 Meanwhile, we will continue planning for the dates of April 6 through April 8, 2022.<\/p>\n
