De ECD Global Alliance financiert Erdheim-Chester Ziekteonderzoek sinds het in 2010 voor het eerst een 501(c)3 status kreeg (met terugwerkende kracht tot 2009). De organisatie kent gewoonlijk jaarlijks een beurs voor jonge onderzoekers toe ter waarde van $50.000 – $60.000. Waar mogelijk financiert de organisatie ook grotere projecten zoals het opzetten van de ECD pati\u00ebntenregistratie, overlevingsstudies en een onderzoek naar de oorsprong van ECD. <\/p>\n

Er is een netwerk van ECD-expertisecentra beschikbaar om pati\u00ebnten te helpen bij het vinden van deskundige artsen voor het bevestigen van een diagnose en voor het bieden van behandelingen en voortdurende zorg. Deze instellingen zetten zich in om een team van specialisten beschikbaar te stellen voor de best mogelijke zorg aan ECD-pati\u00ebnten.
