Symposium Summary<\/h2>\n
[\/et_pb_text][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.27.6″ _module_preset=”default” global_colors_info=”{}” theme_builder_area=”post_content”]Approximately 52 medical professionals from eight countries attended the Annual ECD Medical Symposium in 2015. Twelve oral abstracts were presented. As an invited speakers, Omar Abdel-Wahab, MD, PhD, delivered a talk titled \u201cDiverse and Targetable Kinase Alterations Drive Histiocytic Neoplasms\u201d and Timothy Craig Allen, MD, JD presented \u201cSocial Media in the Rare Disease World.\u201d An evening reception provided time for discussions supporting current and future collaborations among this highly knowledgeable group of physicians and scientists, all interested in learning more about Erdheim-Chester Disease.
